Additional Sections:
This course runs from September to June.
Course Accreditation:
This course counts towards a full year of kindergarten curriculum.
While our courses are not formally accredited, they are designed to align with CCSS standards. For homeschooling families, transcripts are typically parent-created documents that list completed coursework. This course provides everything your child needs for a complete preschool or kindergarten education—no extra planning, materials, or curriculum required. It's an all-in-one solution designed to support early learning at home with ease and confidence.
Curriculum:
Follows teacher-created curriculum. We use material from Teachers Pay Teachers and other similar online resources.
Standards:
CCSS (Common Core State Standard) compliant.
External Resources:
We will occasionally be using YouTube videos in this class.
We also use online books for story time through Scribd.
We use Baamboozle for review games.
Parental Guidance:
This class is designed for minimal parental involvement. Most children can participate independently, but every child is different! If your learner tends to need extra support staying focused or navigating online classes, we recommend staying nearby just in case they need a helping hand.
Homework:
We don’t assign homework in our courses—and that’s by design. One of the major issues we see in the public school system is the overreliance on busywork to measure learning. We believe that real understanding comes from engagement, curiosity, and conversation—not endless assignments.
As a homeschooling parent, you know your child best. That’s why we provide linked materials with each course—so you can use them in your own homeschool classroom as you see fit. Feel free to assign additional work, projects, or review based on your child’s needs and interests. We support flexible, parent-led education that respects your family’s learning style.
Learning Goals
Build Strong Early Literacy Skills: Students will develop foundational reading abilities through phonics, letter recognition, and vocabulary-building activities that prepare them for future academic success.
Develop Early Math Understanding: Learners will explore numbers, shapes, patterns, and simple problem-solving to build confidence and curiosity in early math concepts.
Strengthen Language and Social Development: Through storytelling, conversation, and social-emotional learning, children will improve their ability to communicate clearly and interact kindly with others.
Inspire Curiosity Through Themed Exploration: Weekly electives like animal science, botany, and famous figures will spark imagination, introduce new ideas, and encourage young learners to explore the world around them.
