Educator Requirements

At Wright Homeschool Academy, your child’s education and safety are our highest priorities. That’s why we carefully select experienced, professional educators who are not only subject-matter experts but also deeply committed to creating a warm, engaging, and secure online learning environment.

Here’s what you can expect from every teacher at our academy:

Experienced & Qualified

  • All educators hold a university degree in education or a related field.

  • Each teacher brings 3 or more years of teaching experience, ensuring they are skilled in managing classrooms and connecting with students of all ages.

  • Many of our educators have additional training in online learning, neurodiverse education, or subject-specific instruction.

Committed to Safety

  • Every teacher completes a criminal background check (or international equivalent), updated annually.

  • All staff undergo safeguarding and child protection training to recognize and respond appropriately to student needs.

  • Classes are monitored and recorded to ensure quality and safety.

  • All class content is prepared ahead of time, and class recordings are made available to parents within 24 hours for review or reinforcement.

  • The application process duration can vary based on several factors, including the number of applicants and the specific requirements of the position. Typically, you can expect the following timeline:

    • Application Review: After submitting your application, the review process usually takes 1–2 weeks. During this time, the hiring team assesses your qualifications and experience.

    • Interview Scheduling: If shortlisted, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are generally scheduled within 1 week following the review period.

    • Final Decision: After the interview, the decision-making process may take an additional 1–2 weeks as the team evaluates all candidates.

    In total, the application process can take approximately 3–5 weeks from submission to final decision.

  • If your application aligns with the position requirements, you can expect to be contacted for an interview within 2–3 weeks after submitting your application. The hiring team will reach out via the contact information provided in your application to schedule the interview at a mutually convenient time.

  • Welcome Package: You will receive a comprehensive welcome package containing essential information about the academy, your role, and the tools you'll be using.

    Training Sessions: Participate in training sessions that cover various aspects of your responsibilities, including curriculum delivery, classroom management, and use of technology platforms.

    Mentorship: You may be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance and support as you transition into your new role.

    Access to Resources: Gain access to teaching materials, scheduling tools, and communication platforms necessary for your position.

    Compliance and Documentation: Complete any required documentation, such as background checks and confidentiality agreements, to ensure compliance with academy policies.
