  • All of our teachers hold a university degree or college diploma in the subject they teach and have 3 or more years of teaching experience. Some of our educators have teaching certification as well.

  • Currently, our website does not support direct communication with educators. We’re working on a system that will allow students and teachers to message each other directly. In the meantime, if you need to get in touch with your child’s educator, please reach out through our Contact Us page linked below.

  • We ensure quality and consistency in instruction through a combination of rigorous educator requirements, collaborative planning, and regular curriculum review. All of our educators hold a university degree or college diploma in their subject area and have at least 3 years of teaching experience. We also provide clear teaching guidelines, align with Canadian and American core standards where applicable, and maintain open communication within our team to ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience for every student.

  • We do not provide formal assessments or grades. Instead, we share all planned class materials with parents, allowing you to assess your child’s progress in a way that best fits your homeschool approach. This gives you full visibility into what’s being taught and the flexibility to evaluate learning according to your family's needs.

  • Yes, many of our teachers have extensive experience working with homeschoolers and neurodivergent learners. Our team understands the unique needs and flexibility that homeschooling requires, and we strive to create inclusive, supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.

  • Yes, in rare cases—such as emergencies or serious scheduling conflicts—your child’s educator may change during a session. All of our teachers are carefully selected, fully qualified, and trained to maintain the same high standard of instruction and classroom care.
If your child’s instructor changes during a session, this does not qualify for a refund.

Neurodivergent and Inclusive Learning

  • Yes. Our classes are thoughtfully designed to be inclusive and supportive of neurodivergent learners. We recognize that every student has a unique learning style, and we aim to create a flexible, respectful environment where all learners feel safe, seen, and valued. Our educators are experienced in adapting their teaching approaches to support a wide range of needs, including attention differences, sensory sensitivities, and various processing styles. Inclusivity is at the heart of what we do.

  • Yes. Our educators are experienced in supporting students with a variety of learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia. They are trained to recognize diverse learning needs and are committed to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment. We also believe in partnering with families—when you share your child’s unique strengths and challenges with us, we’re happy to make thoughtful accommodations that support their success and confidence in class.

    About our Classes

  • We provide on-screen closed captions to support students with auditory processing disorders, making it easier for them to follow along with lessons. Our instructors also read aloud everything that appears on screen to reinforce understanding through multiple senses. In addition, all class materials are thoughtfully designed to be clear, uncluttered, and free of unnecessary distractions, allowing students to focus on the most important information without feeling overwhelmed. This intentional approach helps create a more accessible and supportive learning experience for all students.

  • We understand that some students may feel nervous about speaking up in class, and we aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable. While we respect each student’s individual comfort level, we do encourage nervous learners to participate within reason, as we believe active participation can boost confidence and engagement. If a student is hesitant, they are welcome to let the teacher know via the chat box at the beginning of class. Our teachers will gladly accommodate by adjusting participation expectations, offering alternative ways for students to engage, and providing plenty of positive reinforcement to help them feel more at ease over time.

  • Yes. We understand that some students may feel more comfortable participating without being on camera or speaking aloud, so students are welcome to keep their cameras and microphones off. They can fully participate via the chat, sharing their thoughts and responses in a way that feels more comfortable for them. Additionally, if a student prefers to engage in class without participating verbally or visually, they can simply notify the teacher at the beginning of class. Our educators will make the necessary accommodations to ensure that the student feels respected and included, offering alternative ways for them to engage without any pressure. This approach helps create a safe and supportive space for all learners, regardless of their participation style.

Technology and Format

  • We use Google Meet for our live classes. It provides a user-friendly, secure platform that allows for seamless video, audio, and chat interactions, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience for all students. Please note that all students are required to have a Google account to join Google Meet. Education email accounts, such as those provided by schools, will not be able to access Google Meet for our sessions.

  • No, the only software required to participate in our live classes is Google Meet. It is a simple, easy-to-use platform that allows students to join sessions without needing any additional tools or apps. If a class requires any extra software or applications for activities, assignments, or special features, we will clearly note this in the class description so you have all the information you need before the class begins.

  • A stable and fast internet connection is highly recommended to ensure the best experience during our live classes. A reliable connection helps prevent lag, interruptions, or audio/video issues, allowing students to fully engage in lessons without technical difficulties. For optimal performance, we suggest using a connection with sufficient speed to handle video and audio streaming, especially if multiple devices are being used in the household at the same time.

  • Yes, all classes are recorded and made available through a Google Drive folder, allowing for easy preview and review of the material.

  • Yes. Your child will be given a link to a Google Drive folder containing all class recordings for easy access to review the content.

  • No, Google Meet is very user-friendly, and no prior experience is required. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple for both students and parents to join classes. Once students have the link to the meeting, they can easily click to join without needing any complicated setup. We also provide clear instructions on how to get started, so even first-time users can feel confident and ready to participate.

However, it's essential to consider the following factors when combining age groups:

    • Curriculum Adaptability: Ensure that the curriculum is flexible enough to accommodate the diverse learning levels and developmental stages of students across different age groups.

    • Classroom Management: Teachers should be prepared to implement strategies that effectively manage a mixed-age classroom, promoting engagement and participation from all students.
